    Zack King and his band have been performing their unique brand of Texas Rock in the DFW Metroplex, the state of Texas and across the U.S. for almost 10 years. In that time they have played with some of the most illustrious superstars in rock and country music.

    Scribblers is our weekly teen creative writing group for ages 11-18. Activities may include writing workshops, critique groups, creativity exercises, games, and more. Teens are encouraged to bring a pen and notebook, but we can provide supplies if needed. Laptops and/or tablets are also permitted.

  7. Adult - Self-Defense Awareness Class

    July 9, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Roanoke Public Library Conference Room

    Self-defense starts with an awareness of your surroundings and learning to move in them with purpose and intent. Join us and learn how to be situationally aware, develop a sense about your surroundings, understand what situations are potentially dangerous, and learn to avoid them. Classes are free to the public.

    July 10, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Empty Lot across Lamar Street from Library back parking lot.

    Victory Therapy Center will be bringing therapy horses to the library to talk about how they use horses for therapy.

    Dinosaur George has traveled the world, dug for dinosaur bones, studied dinosaur fossils, written books and has a Television Show about Dinosaurs. He will bring fossils large and small, teach us how to pronounce dinosaur names that are hard to read. He encourages Dinosaur excitement!
