  6. Babe in Arms

    February 18, 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Roanoke Public Library

    Babies from birth to 18 months are encouraged to come with an adult. Older siblings are invited to bring their own baby, whether it is a Teddy Bear, dolly, or other such beloved creature. There will be an opportunity to meet other parents with children who may share your experiences, and join in discussions. Come to any or all of the classes, which are free to all.

  7. Sensational Sensory Play Time at the Roanoke Library

    February 18, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Roanoke Public Library

    The third Thursday of each month, come see what we have (like wooden blocks or kinetic sand) at the three sensory stations in the children's area. The stations will be available from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. This is a come-and-go, passive program. Come play!

    Scribblers is our weekly teen creative writing group for ages 11-18. Activities may include writing workshops, critique groups, creativity exercises, games, and more. Teens are encouraged to bring a pen and notebook, but we can provide supplies if needed. Laptops and/or tablets are also permitted.

    An ongoing group where we explore creative non-fiction, artistic journaling, and writing of all kinds. Free to the public. Bring your favorite notebook and pen, or some will be provided. We do writing and drawing exercises and have a lot of fun!

    Join performers from the Circus Freaks for a workshop in the fundamentals of improv comedy, theory and other theatrical shenanigans.* We generally meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month, and classes are perfect for drop-ins or continued learning. *Also suitable as a spectactor sport.
