We are next to the Community / Senior Center, just up the street from the Recreation Center and Community Pool.

Membership
Roanoke Library membership is available at no charge to:
- Residents within Roanoke city limits
- Property owners who pay taxes to the City of Roanoke
- Texshare Card members

Monday - Thursday
Lobby: 10 AM - 8 PM.
Curbside: 10 AM - 5 PM
Friday - Saturday
Lobby: 10 AM - 6 PM.
Curbside: 10 AM - 5 PM

The Roanoke Public Library is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Presidents' Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving Day & the day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Loan Periods
Most library materials may be borrowed for 21 days (3 weeks). Our automatic renewal system will extend your loan if no one is currently waiting for it. Loan periods for items borrowed via Interlibrary Loan or from other libraries are set by the lending library.
Reserves
Items may be reserved through the online catalog. If you need assistance, a library staff member will he happy to help. Check with the Information Desk for notification options.
Interlibrary Loan Service
If you want an item that we do not have and that is not available from any of our partner libraries, you may use our free Interlibrary Loan service to try to obtain a copy from other libraries around the country. Simply search for the item you wish to borrow, request it, log in using the same login information you use for your online account with us, and fill out the information. Once the item arrives you will receive notification based on your account settings.
Renewals
Materials checked out in Roanoke are subject to our auto-renewal policies.

- In reply to one of our courtesy/overdue notice emails*
Items may not be renewed if they are on reserve for someone else. Interlibrary Loan and consortium item renewal terms are set by the lending libraries.
*Courtesy/Overdue email notifications must be setup on your account by either submitting an email address at signup, or adding an email address and signing up for notification through your account online.
Returns
Books and other materials may be returned to the Information Desk, placed in the book drop on the outside front wall of the library, or returned at the drive-through book drop located on the north side of the library. Items returned after library hours or on holidays will be checked in when the library opens next.
