The Roanoke Citizen’s Fire Academy is a hands-on learning program for residents who want to know more about their Fire Department.

When?

The Roanoke Fire Department hosts its Citizen’s Fire Academy annually in the spring. The Academy will meet for eleven evenings (7pm-9:30pm) and one Saturday (9am-5pm) over a three month period. Each academy runs from February through April.

Where?

The Roanoke Fire Station, located at 201 Fairway Drive.

Cost?

Free!

Who is eligible to participate?

Minimum age is 18, and a resident of or work in the City of Roanoke.

When are applications due?

Mid-January
