New City Hall Fiber WAN Bid Documents

Invitation for Bids

The City of Roanoke is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals for the construction of City of Roanoke Fiber Optic Network Phase 2 (WAN) until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the City Hall, City Secretary’s Office 108 S. Oak St.- Roanoke, TX 76262. The proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. and will be evaluated based on a matrix. The successful proposer will be announced within 7 days after proposals have been accepted.

Proposals are invited for work as follows:

  1. Outside Plant Fiber installation, including new underground duct installation by HD Bore.
  2. Installation of new fiber shelves, fiber adapter panels and terminating (fusion splicing) of the new fiber in three buildings.

Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are also on file at the City Secretary’s office of City of Roanoke.

One hard copy and an electronic format on a flash drive of the proposal must be delivered to the City of Roanoke, City Secretary’s Office, 108 S. Oak Street Roanoke, TX 76262 no later than 2:00 p.m. CT, on May 17, 2018. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.

The City of Roanoke reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by the City of Roanoke for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.

A non-mandatory pre-bid will be held at the City of Roanoke, City Hall on 5/10/2018 at 10:30 AM.
