What is a Citizen’s Academy?
The Roanoke Citizen’s Academy is a program that offers residents an operational behind the scenes look at their local government. This 10 week program will consist of presentations and excursions in the areas of public safety, public utilities, parks, library, and city administration. This is accomplished by holding classes at several different facilities around the city.
Who can participate?
