What is a Citizen’s Academy?
The Roanoke Citizen’s Academy is a program that offers residents an operational, behind the scenes, look at their local government. This program will consist of presentations and excursions in the areas of Public Safety, Public Utilities, Parks & Recreation, Library, and City Administration. Classes are held weekly at different facilities around the City.
